What happens during counseling sessions?
You will connect with one of our trained Christian counselors who will listen to your concerns and work with you to:
- help define and clarify your problem(s)
- explore the many possibilities that may exist for change
- develop a strategy or plan for action
Don't expect...
- things to get better immediately
- your counselor to tell you what to do
- "shoulds" or "musts" about you behavior/choices
Do expect...
- clues to better coping
- support and guidance to make what may sometimes be difficult changes
- caring, gentle challenges without judgment
- to be able to speak honestly and openly about your state of mind, feelings, disappointments
