Eagles Split Matches on Final Day of Regular Season

WILMORE, Ky. - The women’s team continued their weekend season by hosting both IU-Southeast and STLCOP in the final matches of the 2013 regular season – losing their first match 5-0 and taking the second 5-1.
During the cold, damp morning IU-Southeast bested the Eagles by sweeping the match on Asbury’s home courts. Asbury then moved to an indoor location in Lexington where the Eagles made quick work of St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Both matches consisted of only singles competitions where Sarah Beth Alford, Alex LoPrinzi, Laura Ross, Miriam Waslewski and Kara Kaneko all finished up their matches with wins against STLCOP. Waslewski’s win marked her 11th win of the season.
The Eagles complete their regular season at 10-4 and 6-2 in the KIAC conference. Asbury will have a week to rest before they head out to New Albany, Indiana for the KIAC Tournament on October 25th.
