Eagles Soar Over Midway in Rain, 5-2

WILMORE, Ky. - WILMORE, Ky. -The women’s tennis team added another win to their record Wednesday night, despite a steady rain for most of the contest. They soared over Midway College 5-2 and improved their overall team record to 6-1 on the season.
The Eagles swept the doubles competition to open the contest winning three out of three matches. One of those three matches featured the undefeated pairing of Miriam Waslewski and Juleah Morehouse who stayed unbeaten with an 8-5 win extending their record to 5-0 on the year. The doubles teams of Sarah Beth Alford and Laura Ross as well as Alex LoPrinzi and Kara Kaneko also garnered points for the Eagles. LoPrinzi and Kaneko paired up for the first time this season in the no. 2 spot.
On the singles court, Laura Ross and Juleah Morehouse both finished strong with wins for the Eagles. Ross and Morehouse have been solid contributors for the Eagles in their freshman campaigns as they improved to 6-1 and 4-1, respectively, on the season.
The Eagles will travel to Oakland City, Indiana, on Friday (10/4) at 4:00 p.m. as they face off against the Oaks for the second time this season. In their first matchup the Eagles cruised to a 7-2 win.
