Women's Tennis Set For KIAC Tournament

BEREA, Ky. – The bracket is set for the 2012 KIAC Women’s Tennis Tournament.  Asbury is the number two seed after finishing conference play at 7-1.  Indiana Southeast is the top seed after a perfect 8-0 run through the conference.  This year’s tournament is being conducted in Richmond, Ind.

The Eagles will play Midway College, the seventh seed, on Friday in one quarterfinal at 1 pm.  The match will be held at Richmond High School.  Asbury defeated Midway all the way back on September 12 at Midway 7-2.  Asbury finished the regular season at 9-2 overall while Midway posted a 4-5-1 overall mark and a 3-5 record in the conference.  They finished tied with Berea but lose the tiebreaker having lost to the Mountaineers head-to-head. 

The semifinals and finals will be held at Glen Miller Park in Richmond starting at 9 am on Saturday.  In the event of rain the tournament will be moved indoors to Dayton, Ohio at the Dayton Center Courts.  Other sites for the play-in and quarterfinal matches will be held at Earlham College.
