Tennis takes down Campbellsville

WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury closed out their regular season with a 9-0 victory over Campbellsville on Wednesday afternoon.  The Eagles improved to 15-3 overall, the best record in women’s tennis history*.

Asbury’s shut out of Campbellsville is the sixth time they’ve won a match 9-0 this year and seventh time they haven’t allowed their opponent a win in any one match.  The Eagles only lost nine games in the six singles matches and only three in the three doubles matches.

The Eagles will head to the KIAC Tournament starting on Friday as the number two seed.  Asbury will open with the number seven seeded Indiana University East at 9:30 am.  If they win they will play again at 1:30 pm.  The tournament will be hosted by Berea College.
