KIAC Women's Tennis Tournament Set

The 2010 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament has been set and Asbury is the number two seed. The Eagles finished tied with Midway College at 9-3 in the conference but got the higher seed because of their 10-8 aggregate score.

Asbury will face Indiana University East in their first round match at 9:30 am on Friday October 29th. All matches will be played at the Berea College tennis complex. Asbury defeated IUE twice this year by 9-0 scores. If they win the Eagles would play again at 1:30 pm on Friday against the winner of Midway/Alice Lloyd.

The championship match will be on Saturday at 10:00 am. Last year Asbury made it to the semi-finals of the KIAC tournament and lost to Indiana Southeast. They finished the regular season at 3-5 in the conference and were the 4th (of 5) seed. This year the Eagles improved their conference winning percentage from .375 to .750 and the 2nd (of 7) seed.

Asbury is scheduled to wrap up the fall regular season against Campbellsville University at home on Wednesday October 27th at 4:00 pm.
