Eagles Improve to 6-0
WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury stayed undefeated with a 7-2 victory over Oakland City University late on Monday night. The Match was pushed back until 9:00 pm and moved indoors at the University of Kentucky courts due to rain.
The Eagles improve to 6-0 on the season after winning only four matches all of last year. Oakland City only had five players so Asbury won #3 doubles and #6 singles before the match started. Jordan Myers and Britannia Hormel improved to 4-2 at #2 doubles after an 8-0 win.
Miriam Waslewski stays undefeated in singles, moving to 6-0 after a straight sets 6-2, 6-1 win. Waslewski played at #4 for the first time this season. Other players moving around in the lineup were Britannia Hormel who played at #2 for the first time and won 6-1, 6-2, and Morgan Amis who played at #5 for the first time this season, winning 3-6, 6-3, 10-5. Sarah Marshall also won at #3 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Asbury will host College of Mount St. Joseph today at 4:00 pm in a make-up from last week’s match.
