Eagles Continue Dominance, Improve to 4-0
Wilmore, KY – Asbury improved to 4-0 with a quick 9-0 rout of a short-handed Indiana East squad on Friday afternoon. The Eagles have already matched their season win total from last year.
Asbury won both doubles matches 8-2 and 8-0, the Eagles won #3 doubles by default. Mallory Hurtle and Sarah Marshall improve their record to 3-1 at #1 while Jordan Myers and Britannia Hormel even their record at 2-2.
Coach Miller shuffled his lineup in singles moving Marshall to #2 for the first time this year. She responded with a 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory over Brittany Bueter. Miriam Waslewski moved from #5 to #3 and only dropped one game in her 6-0, 6-1 win. Morgan Amis also moved up two spots and won 6-0, 6-1. Jordan Myers played at #1 and won 6-0, 6-3.
Asbury will host Geneva College (Pa.) on Saturday September 18th at 12:00 pm.
