Kempf Named ASC Coach of the Year Again

Asbury’s Dorothy Kempf was named Appalachian Swim Conference women’s swimming Coach of the Year after guiding the women to their fourth straight conference championship.  Kempf led the Eagles to an undefeated regular season, taking all three invitationals and an 8-0  dual meet mark.

Kempf has been named ASC Women’s Coach of the Year each of the past three seasons and was also named men’s coach of the year in 2008-09.  Kempf has announced that she will step down as coach at the end of the season to return to Kansas with her husband and Asbury Athletic Director Gary Kempf.

Dorothy has coached three NAIA national champions during her tenure, the only three national champions in school history in any sport.  She will lead Asbury back to the NAIA National Meet March 2-5.
