Asbury Sweeps First Dual Meet
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Eagles jumped back in the water with a meet against IUPUI and Butler University at the IUPUI Natatorium on Friday night. The Eagles were able to beat both NCAA Division I schools, defeating IUPUI 77-61 and Butler 87-43.
Sarah Ritter won two events in her first collegiate meet, taking the 100 yard free in 54.84 and the 200 yard free by over four seconds in 1:57.63. Allie Hubach placed second in the 100 yard free and won the 50 yard free in 25.39. Her teammate Ellen Worsham was second the 50 with a time of 25.60.
The Eagles also won the 200 yard medley relay in a time of 1:53.14, only .12 seconds ahead of IUPUI. Taryn Albright, Larissa Meadows, Larissa Martin, and Allie Hubach all took part in the winning relay. Martin also won the 100 yard fly with a time of 59.75.
The Eagles will host their first meet on Saturday October 16th with the annual Christian College Invitational starting at 4:00 pm.
