Historic Meet for Men's Swimming

Results

Danville, Ky. - For the first time in the history of the Asbury College Swimming program, the men's team defeated Centre College in a dual meet.  Asbury opened the meet with a come from behind victory by sophomore Blake Lawless in the 400 Medley Relay. 

The meet continued in Asbury's favor as they were led by Matt Hood (200 Free/100 Free/400 Free Relay), Alex Losekamp (400 Medley Relay/200 Breaststroke), Chris Lipka (400 Medley Relay), Blake Lawless (400 Medley Relay/400 Free Relay), Brady Lewis (1000 Free), Trevor Ehrenheim (400 Medley Relay/200 IM/200 Backstroke), Nathan Runtas (400 Free Relay), and Tyler Decker (400 Free Relay) who all placed first in the respective event.

The women took their first loss of the season falling to the women of Centre.  Abigail Sterneman (200 Breaststroke) and Larissa Martin (200 IM) each placed first for the Eagles. 

The Eagles will compete again on November 21, against Milligan and University of the South (Sewanee) at Sewanee, Tenn.
