Decker Signs to Swim

The Asbury College Athletics Department along with the swimming and diving team are proud to announce the signing of Tyler Decker from North Davidson High School in Welcome, North Carolina.

Decker was joined by his parents Wally and Diane as well as his high school coaches Rhonda Fraizer and Brian Wells.

Tyler was coached by Rhonda Frazier at North Davidson and by Mary Young in the USA Swimming Programs WSY (Winston-Salem, North Carolina) from 2002-2009. As a high school swimmer Decker was a Regional qualifier all four years. He was also a State Championship Qualifier as a junior and senior, as he was named to the CPC All-Conference in his final two years as well.

As a senior Tyler made regional cuts in five individual events, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 IM as well as being a part of three relay teams. Tyler holds five individual school records as well as being part of three relay school records. His individual records are in the 200 and 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 back, and 200 IM.
