Women's Soccer Set to Host Midway in KIAC Tourney
WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury women’s soccer is set to host Midway College in the 2012 KIAC Tournament on Saturday at 3 pm. The Eagles enter as the four seed while Midway is the five seed.
Asbury (4-11-1, 3-3 KIAC) is in unfamiliar territory, having not won the KIAC regular season for the first time since 2005. The Eagles lost to Midway back on Oct. 9 by a score of 4-3. Asbury will look for revenge on Saturday. Live stats will be available for the game at this link.
The winner of Asbury-Midway will go on to face top seed Carlow (12-1-1, 6-0 KIAC) in Pittsburgh on Tuesday in the semifinals.
This year’s tournament features six of the seven teams in the KIAC with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. Each game in the KIAC Tournament will be hosted by the higher seed in the match.
