Women's Soccer Falls to Point Park
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Asbury women’s soccer dropped to 2-2 in KIAC play after a 4-0 loss to conference newcomer Point Park on Friday evening. The two losses are the most for the Eagles in the KIAC since 2005 when they finished 1-3.
The second half if where the Pioneers pulled away from the Eagles, scoring three goals in a span of 15 minutes to push the lead to 4-0. Asbury can still finish second the conference if they win their last two games and get a little help. The Eagles managed only five shots in the game on Friday.
Asbury will play Carlow today at 3 pm, a must win if the Eagles want to get a bye in the first round of the KIAC Tournament. The KIAC Tournament will begin on Saturday November 3 with the top two teams receiving a bye to the semi-finals. Only the top six schools will make the tournament. Each game will be hosted by the higher seed.
