Cassie HollandJACKSON, Tenn. – Asbury women’s soccer suffered their fourth straight loss, 3-1 at the hands of Union (Tenn.) University.  The Eagles fell behind 1-0 but quickly tied the match before allowing two second-half goals.

Cassie Holland scored her first career goal in the 36th minute, tying the score at 1-1.  Stefanie King from Union scored the first goal of the match just two minutes earlier.  Alex Taylor netter the game winner 10 minutes into the second half.

Asbury (1-7) was able to take only three shots in the match, all three in the first half.  Union took 19 total shots and 14 after halftime.  Union (4-5-2) put eight shots on goal as Rebecca Batey made four saves in 75 minutes as keeper and Lizzie Hoffa made one in the final 15 minutes. 

The Eagles return to KIAC action on Tuesday as they travel to Midway.  Asbury will host Cincinnati Christian on Thursday at 7 pm.  Five of their next six matches are against KIAC foes.
