Wildcats Defeat Eagles

Box Score | Season Stats

Emily PoppWILMORE, Ky. – Early chances for the Eagles turned into second half goals for Indiana Wesleyan as the Wildcats secured a 4-0 over Asbury on Saturday night.  The Eagles are now 0-3 at home this season.

The Eagles (1-4) had the first four shots in the match, all good looks from inside 25-yards but none would find the back of the net.  From that point on Asbury would muster only five more shots the rest of the game.  Eight different players took a shot in the match with Jenna Bird the only player to take more than one.

Indiana Wesleyan scored the first goal in the 26th minute as Kylie Dial knocked home her first of the season.  Dial added a second just four minutes after halftime before Kelsey Johnston and Annette Somerick tallied goals to finish the match at 4-0.

The Eagles will host Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday at 7 pm, the second game of their current four-game homestand.
