Figgins Named KIAC Player of the Week

BEREA, Ky. – Asbury University junior Lyndsay Figgins was named the KIAC women’s soccer defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 24th. The junior goalkeeper recorded a shutout in her first career start.

Figgins helped Asbury defeat Cincinnati Christian University 2-0 last Thursday. Figgins has only allowed one goal in 211 minutes on the season. She is in her first season of playing collegiate soccer after playing basketball for the Eagles during her first two years. Asbury

is 8-7 overall and leads the KIAC with a 3-0 conference record. They will return to action on October 25th when they host conference opponent Midway College at 4 p.m.
