Eagles Fall to Tennessee Wesleyan
ATHENS, Tenn. – Asbury women continued with their road struggles, falling to Tennessee Wesleyan 1-0 on Saturday. The Eagles are 0-6 on the road this season and have scored only one goal in those six games.
Asbury (7-6) was only able to take seven shots in the game, six different players were able to get a shot off. Tennessee Wesleyan took 14 overall and Courtney Strickland scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minute on a free kick. Strickland took a game-high five shots and put three on frame.
Maegan Rogers made five saves in goal for Asbury and Kristen Davis stopped three for Tennessee Wesleyan (5-7-1). Asbury will travel back down to Tennessee for a match on Wednesday against NCAA Division II Lincoln Memorial at 4 p.m.
