Yellow Jackets Too Much for Eagles

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Four second half goals were too much to overcome as Asbury lost their fifth straight road game and third straight overall, 6-1 against Cedarville University on Saturday evening.  The Eagles are still winless on the road this year and unbeaten at home.

Cedarville (3-4-1) scored their first goal in the 9th minute and were off to the races.  Amanda Bunton scored twice as did Deanne Bradshaw.  Asbury’s (3-5) Kaitlyn Hooper scored the only goal for the Eagles in the second half to make it a 4-1 game.

Asbury was out-shot in the match 19-8 and the Eagles put only two on target all night.  Cedarville scored their final two goals within a minute of each other in the 88th minute as Kristie Wolff and Dresden Matson scored.

Asbury returns home on Thursday September 29th to open conference play against Berea College at 7 p.m.
