Eagles Suffer Second Straight Loss

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Asbury suffered their second straight loss on Friday night, a 2-0 setback at the hands of Trevecca Nazarene University.  The Eagles have been shutout in back-to-back games for the second time this year.

Trevecca (3-3-2) scored the first goal on their first shot of the game, at the 12:07 mark as Justine Forth scored off an assist from Lindsey Robinson.  Robinson would add the second goal at the 78th minute mark.  From the time of the first goal to the end of the game TNU would out-shoot the Eagles 22 to six. 

Asbury (3-4) has now suffered all four losses this season on the road and have yet to score in those games.  They finished the match with 10 shots, three on goal.  Maegan Rogers made seven saves in goal for the Eagles, she has now saved 12 shots in the past two games.

The Eagles return home on Wednesday, where they are 3-0 this year, to host Georgetown College at 7 p.m.
