Batey, Rogers Sweep KIAC Awards
BEREA, Ky. - Asbury University women’s soccer swept the KIAC awards this week as keeper Maegan Rogers was named defensive player of the week and Rebecca Batey was named offensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 5th.
Asbury defeated Oakland City 6-1 and Bryan College 3-0 on the week as Rogers didn’t allow a goal in her 113 minutes in net on the week. Batey scored the first goal in each game during the week and added a second during the Bryan game. She now has scored 36 goals in 45 career games, good for second in school history.
Asbury currently has a 2-2 record on the season. They will return to action on September 10th when they host Covenant College.
