Late Goal Costs Eagles

LOOKOUT MT., Ga. – The Eagles played Covenant all square up until a goal by the Lady Scots in the 83rd minute sent the Eagles home with a 1-0 defeat.  Asbury (2-10) suffered their third one-goal loss of the season.

Maegan Rogers made six saves in goal for the Eagles as neither team was really able to get much going offensively.  The Lady Scots scored on a shot from Kara Lee from the left side that banked in off the right post.  Asbury took six shots from six players while Covenant managed to get off only nine.  Both teams were caught offside six times.

The Eagles head to University of the Cumberlands on Tuesday October 12th at 3:00 pm.
