Campbellsville, Ky. - The Eagles could not overcome two first half goals as Asbury's women dropped a tough match on the road to Campbellsville 2-1. Asbury drops to 3-5 on the season while Campbellsville improves to 4-2-1.

Coming into the game the Eagles had struggled getting offensive opportunities, but got every chance they wanted on Thursday. Asbury put 14 shots on goal and 18 shots total in the contest, while Campbellsville put 10 on goal and had 15 total shots.

Asbury's lone goal came in the 77th minute as Aly Crawford put a shot past keeper Sarah Akers off of a Jess Young pass. Crawford now moves into a tie with Miranda Wiley for second place on the team with four goals scored. Young leads the team with four assists.

Asbury has the weekend off before opening KIAC play on Tuesday September 22nd as they host Berea. Kick-off is set for 7:00 pm.
