Kara Selle signed on Wednesday to be part of the Asbury women's soccer program. She was joined by her parents and Coach Nesselroade.

Kara has achieved many accolades as a prep player, including being named by the News Herald to the 1st team Girl's Soccer. She was the NCSAA Tournament MVP in 2007 when her team won the tournament. She is also a 1st team all-conference selection, helping her team to a 13-2-2 record.

Coach Nesselroade was pleased to gain a commitment from a player that chose Asbury over national ranked Trinity Christian.  "Kara will be a huge addition to our program.  Her skill set is tremendous and her flexibility as a player opens up all kinds of options for us as a team starting next year.  I am really excited to include this wonderful student-athlete and all-around person into our growing program."

Kara was #2 in Northeast Ohio in total points with 49 last season, including 18 goals and 13 assists. She also holds the school scoring record with 201 points and 74 goals.

An all-around athlete, Kara has lettered in four sports, cross-country, soccer, basketball, and softball. She was also named female athlete of the year for her school in 2007-2008.

Kara plays club soccer with the Cleveland Cobras and competed in the CASL.

Kara plans to study pre-physical therapy at Asbury.
