Eagles Defeat Trojans 5-0
Wilmore, KY---The Asbury College women's soccer team kicked off homecoming with a 5-0 win over Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday. The Eagles started the scoring early when Miranda Wiley beat the Trojan keeper one-on-one in the 4th minute.

Asbury (6-6) has battled all the way back from an 0-4 start to get to .500 for the first time all season. The Eagles outplayed the Trojans from start to finish. Asbury out shot TNU 25-10 in the contest. Katie Crocker would add Asbury's second goal in the 14th minute off a rebound for her second goal of the season.
Wiley would start the second half much like she did the first, scoring her second goal of the afternoon in the 58th minute off a penalty kick. Bethany Russell added her first goal of the season in the 71st minute off a Meghan Gudgeon pass. Gudgeon would finish the scoring in the 75th minute, Jenna Parisi would add the assist.
Asbury will host conference opponent Bresica University Tuesday October 7th at 7pm.
