Women's Soccer wins Thriller
Dayton, TN--- The Asbury College women's soccer team won in exciting fashion Saturday September 13. The Eagles scored the only goal in the match as junior forward Miranda Wiley put one in the back of the net, off an assist from junior Carol Fogler, with 30 seconds left in double overtime.
Asbury (2-4) out shot the Lions 15-10 overall and 7-5 in shots on goal. Sophomore keeper Maegan Rogers earned her second shutout of the week with five saves. Rogers' goals against average has dropped to 1.49 on the season.
Asbury will try to maintain their winning ways as they return home to face Union College Wednesday September 17 at 7:00 pm. The men's soccer team will take on Montreat in game one of the doubleheader at 4:30 pm
