Women's soccer opens season against IWU
WILMORE, KY – The Asbury College women’s soccer team dropped their season opener Thursday, Aug. 28 to Indiana Wesleyan University 7-1. Asbury could only register six shots on goal against the 18th ranked Wildcats.
Asbury’s lone goal came off the foot of sophomore Ashley Amburgy in the 66th minute. Indiana Wesleyan scored four goals in the first half including three from Megan Marshall.
Asbury (0-1) will travel to Hanover, Indiana on Saturday, Aug. 30 to take on Hanover College. The Eagles return home Thursday, Sept. 4 to take on Campbellsville at 7 p.m.
