KIAC announces All-Conference for Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, and Volleyball
Asbury earned seven places on the All-Conference teams for men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball.
Men's Soccer
Forward Nate DeFreitas scored six goals and registered four assists for the Eagles in 19 games while fellow senior and defender Manes Preptit added two goals and four assists in 20 games played. The Eagles finished the year 9-12 after capturing the KIAC Tournament with wins over Mountain State and host Brescia (Ky.).
Women's Soccer
Sophomore Miranda Wiley tallied 10 goals and two assists in 20 games in leading the Eagles in points for the second straight year. Fellow sophomore Carol Fogler registered five goals and three assists in 20 games and sophomore Ashley Amburgy scored twice and earned three assists on the year. Amburgy was the only Eagle to play and start in all 21 games for the season. The team finished 11-10 on the season after also winning the KIAC Tournament against Mountain State and host Brescia (Ky.).
Volleyball
Sophomore Hannah Wheeler earned the all-conference selection after leading the Eagles in digs with 594 over 131 games for a 4.53 digs per game average. The Eagles finished 18-23 on the season after advancing the finals of the KIAC Tournament as the # 4 seed, defeating host St. Louis Pharmacy and regular-season champion, IU-Southeast before falling to Mountain State.
