Eagles Lead Georgetown After Day One
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Asbury women’s golf is ahead of Georgetown College by four strokes after the first round of action at the Bluegrass Spring Invitational at Cherry Blossom Golf Course. The Eagles and Tigers are playing a dual match to close out the regular season for both teams.
Emily Puckett is second after 18-holes of play with a 92, Marlene Nall leads the field after firing an 83. Madison Combs shot a 97 for the Eagles as Sarah Hagan and Meredith Robinson each shot a 99.
Asbury played Cherry Blossom back in the fall and only three of combined rounds were under 100. On Monday the Eagles had four rounds under the century mark. Asbury’s 387 score is 13 strokes better than their best day total at Cherry Blossom in September.
