Eagles Take 4th at Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Asbury women wrapped up the Georgetown College Invitational at Cherry Blossom in fourth place at the two-day event. The Eagles finished day one in fourth place after a score of 400 and shot a 403 on day two. Lee University won the event with a 642 combined score.
Madison Combs finished 15th out of 29 golfers in the event, shooting a 95 on the first day and a 100 on the second. Geandra Almeida from Lee won the event with a 156, one stroke ahead of teammate Courtney Shelton. Lee had five of the top seven in the field.
Emily Puckett followed a 99 on day one with a 98 on the second day to finish in a tie for 16th. Bethany Sonnier shot a 204 for the tournament and placed in a tie for 18th and Mary Beth Cunningham shot a 211 and placed 24th.
Asbury will host their fall event on Thursday at Connemara Golf Club in Nicholasville. The event will start at 1 p.m.
