Flener Gets No. 100, Women's Basketball Cruises to Win

WILMORE, Ky. – At 15-3 on the season and on a current nine game winning streak, the Eagles' seem to be in prime form. Saturday's 110-43 win over STLCOP was just the latest sample of what the Eagles have been doing of late.
The Eagles put up high scores in both halves collecting over 50 points before and after halftime. Together they also pulled down 55 rebounds and forced 18 turnovers.
Sophomore Kylee Gorby led the team in scoring with 14 points. Following close behind was Molly Harlin with 11 points-- 9 of those being 3-pointers--and Kelli Rinehart and Brittany Warren who both had 10 each.
Lead rebounders consisted of a team of three, Sam Burr, Kelli Rinehart and Kylee Gorby with seven rebounds each. Annissia Wood led the Eagles with assists delivering five.
Not only did Asbury come out victorious but their win garnered Coach Bart Flener to his 100th win at Asbury. The Eagles record improved to 15-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
The Eagles take the court again on Tuesday, January 21st as they face off with the Alice Lloyd Eagles at 6:00 p.m. in Wilmore.
