Carroll Named All-Conference for 2nd Straight Year
Asbury’s Laura Carroll was named the KIAC All-Conference team as announced by the league this week. Carroll a sophomore from Paintsville, Ky. makes her second straight appearance on the team and the only Eagle for the second straight year.
Carroll led the Eagles with 15.4 points per game and shot an incredible 50% from the floor despite being a 5-5 point guard. Carroll’s 487 points this year were only five behind the school record for points in a season.
Carroll also led the team with 109 assists and 40 steals. She shot 85.3% from the free throw line, tops in the KIAC and 11th in NAIA DII. She scored a career-high 34 points against Brescia on February 12th, the third highest single-game total in school history.
Carroll scored in double-figures in 23 of 31 games including two 30 point games and five other games over 20 points.
