WILMORE, Ky. – A back and forth game early, ran away from the Eagles, as they dropped their third straight, 79-71 against Brescia on Saturday afternoon.  There were four ties and two lead changes in the first half and none in the second.

The Lady Bearcats shot 62% from the floor in the first half and connected on 6-of-10 from long range.  They finished the game at 59% overall and hit nine of 17 threes.  Asbury shot 41% overall and made 8-of-20 from three-point range.  The Eagles were nearly perfect from the free-throw line, connecting on 17-of-19.

After Asbury started last year at 1-4 in the conference they battled back to 6-6 before losing the finale and finishing at 6-7.  Their first chance to move in that direction this year will come next Thursday when they host Alice Lloyd in double-header action.  The women will tip at 6:00 pm.
