Midway, Ky. - The Asbury women went cold on Tuesday night as they ended a two game winning streak against Midway 52-68.  The Eagles shot only 34% in the game and turned the ball over 22 times in dropping their eighth game away from the Luce.

Asbury (9-12, 3-5 KIAC) has struggled away from home this year especially in conference play, falling to 1-3 against KIAC opponents on the road and 2-2 against them at home.  Overall Asbury is 5-4 at home, 4-7 on the road and 0-1 in neutral contests.

Lakin Griffith (Sandy Hook, Ky.) fresh off a KIAC Player of the Week award had another big game in leading the Eagles in points with 16 and rebounds with 10.  That was her third double-double of the season, she has scored in double figures in four straight games and five of the last six.  She is averaging 10.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in conference play.

Dorian Downs (Elizabethtown, Ky.) came off the bench to score 11 points, including knocking down two of the Eagles' four threes in the game.  She was the only other player to score in double-figures.  Asbury simply struggled to put the ball in the hoop against Midway, shooting only four-of-19 from three and six-of-13 from the free throw line, they are a 70% free throw shooting team on the season.

Asbury continues their four game road trip on Thursday February 4th as they travel to Grayson, Kentucky to take on Kentucky Christian University.  Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
