Women fall to Alice Lloyd
Wilmore, KY---The Asbury College women's basketball team fell to Alice Lloyd at home on Tuesday night 77-53. Asbury was up at the half and had a 12 point lead early in the half before a 34-4 run by Alice Lloyd made the difference.
Asbury (6-13, 0-2) was led by freshmen Courtney Albin's 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Fellow freshmen Ellen Gray added 10 as did senior Anna Stephenson. Freshmen Demetria Todd got her first start and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. The Eagles shot only 22% in the second half while Alice Lloyd torched the nets at a 56% clip.
Asbury will host Indiana Southeast on Saturday January 24 at 2pm in the final game of their seven game home stand. They will travel to Cincinnati Christian and St. Louis Pharmacy next week.
