Eagles fall to Lady Patriots
Wilmore, KY---The Asbury College women's basketball team suffered another tough loss Thursday December 11, this time at home to St. Catharine's 74-60. The Eagles head to the break losers of six of their last seven games.
Asbury (5-9) led by three at halftime, 26-23 but the Lady Patriots shot nearly 57% in the second half while the Eagles shot 30% in the second frame. The Eagles were led by freshmen Ellen Gray's 20 points and three steals. Fellow freshmen Courtney Albin added 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Another freshmen Hanna Blankenship was the only other Eagle in double figures with 10 points.
Asbury will start back in January with a home game against UC-Clermont January 7, at 7pm in the Luce Center. That will be the start of a six game home stand, and include the first three conference games of the season.
