Women's basketball stumbles at Spalding in 79-44 loss

Louisville, KY - Lindsey Wood scored 24 points for the Eagles but the rest of the team would only manage 20 points on their own, sending Asbury to a 79-44 loss at Spalding on Saturday night. The Eagles also suffered from a poor shooting night, converting just 27.9 percent (12-of-43) from the field. Turnovers also plagued the team with 25 giveaways against only five total assists for the game.

The loss moves Asbury to 10-11 on the season, staying 3-2 in conference play. The women will have to rebound quickly as they will host IU-Southeast on Tuesday night in a crucial conference game. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on WACW , Asbury athletics' home on the internet.
