Women's basketball romps against overmatched Rochester squad, 81-34

Wilmore, KY - Asbury used a hot-shooting first half to cruise past an undermanned Rochester College squad in an 81-34 win on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles shot 59.4% (19-32) in the first half, cruising to a 51-16 halftime lead, never looking back.

Junior Lindsey Wood led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points, joined in double-figures by Anna Stephenson (14), Jenny Bunge (12), and Brittany Abbott (11). Freshman Lauren Lee dished out nine assists in a game that featured 22 assists total on 31 made baskets. The win moves Asbury to 11-13 overall, holding at 3-4 in KIAC play.

The women will return to conference play on Tuesday as they travel to Alice Lloyd College. The game is set for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff. The two teams battled to an 88-87 double overtime win for Asbury earlier in the year. The team will next be at home on February 21st, Senior Night, against Midway College.
