Poor shooting night sends women's basketball to 77-62 loss against Mid-Continent

Wilmore, Ky. - One night after blistering the nets the Eagles turned ice cold, losing 77-62 to Mid-Continent after a 24-for-83 (28.9%) shooting night, including 8-of-30 from three point range. The Eagles held their own in the first half, trailing only 35-31 after shooting a lower percentage but making more shots overall, 13 to 12.

While the Eagles would continue to stay cold, Mid-Continent warmed up and opened up a double-digit lead at 60-48 after a Sarah Cripps three point field goal with 9:16 left. The Eagles would only convert on four more field goals for the balance of the game.

Asbury drops to 5-7 on the season heading into their last game of the 2007 portion of the slate. The Eagles will take on St. Mary's of the Woods College on Saturday. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. and can be heard on WACW, the Eagles official station on the internet at www.asbury.edu/wacw.
