Women's Basketball comes from behind to down UC-Clermont, 68-66
Down 66-59, the Eagles rallied thanks to back-to-back three pointers by freshman Lauren Lee and junior Lindsey Wood to get within one point before sophomore Sarah Yates would put Asbury on top with a pair of free throws with 12.7 seconds left. Junior Anna Stephenson then added one of two free throws for the final margin, 68-66.
Wood led Asbury with 22 points and was joined in double figures by Lee and Yates with 15 and 12 respectively. The Eagles will next play in the Super 8 Classic, hosted by Kentucky Christian University in Grayson. The women will play three games in three days beginning on Thursday against Atlanta Christian at 4:00 p.m. The Eagles will then play host KCU on Friday at 6:00 p.m. before wrapping up their weekend on Saturday against Grace Bible at 12:00 noon.
