WBB comes up short at Kentucky Christian, 49-45
Asbury fell behind 27-12 in the first half and couldn't make up the difference, falling to Kentucky Christian 49-45. The Eagles committed 42 turnovers while only recording 10 steals on 20 Kentucky Christian turnovers.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Brittany Abbott with 12 points, one of only two players in the whole game to reach double-figures. Abbott also led the Eagles in rebounds with nine. Junior Anna Stephenson and freshman Lauren Lee fouled out with Stephenson racking up her five fouls in only 16 minutes of play.
The loss drops Asbury to 2-1 on the season as they will play in the third matchup at the Super 8 Classic in Grayson against Grace Bible tomorrow at 12 noon.
