Women close regular season with win over SWMC

The Asbury women's team celebrated Senior Day by beating St. Mary's of the Woods College 63-57. Today's game was the last for seniors Erica Emler, Stephanie Keeley, and Jamie Keller. Emler led Asbury with 12 points and freshman Sarah Yates added 10, while Keller had a big game on the post with 12 rebounds.

The Eagles were down at halftime 30-28, but a focused second-half performance helped them pull away from the Pomeroys. Asbury stepped up defensively as the team recorded seven of their eight blocks in the second half.

The Eagles end the regular season with a 2-9 record in conference and 12-13 overall. The team awaits the results of a coin-flip with Midway College to determine their seeding in the KIAC tournament.
