Volleyball's Success Continues on Road, Sweep Carlow 3-0

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Asbury got their 25th win Friday night, defeating Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pa., 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-21).
Senior Kelly Cole and junior Cat Starr led the team defensively, with 20 digs from Cole and 9 solo blocks from Starr. Junior Sarah Sterling and senior Allison Rehner combined for 20 kills, while senior Mackenzie Burke and junior Jessie Bartlow both had a team-high 16 assists.
The Eagles haven't played in the Luce Center for five matches, but that hasn't slowed them down any as they took down the Celtics for their fifth consecutive road win and their ninth in a row.
After starting the season, 6-6 the Eagles are now 19-1 in their last 20 games dating back to Sept. 14.
The Eagles will travel to Grayson, Ky., trying for their 26th and 27th in a tri-match against WVU-Parkersburg and Kentucky Christian University at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
