Waslewski, Sterling Garner KIAC Player of the Week Awards
BEREA, Ky. - Miriam Waslewski (women's tennis) and Sarah Sterling (volleyball) garnered player of the week awards for their performances for the week of October 7.

Miriam Waslewski, Asbury University – Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Senior – Oneida, KY
Asbury University senior Miriam Waslewski was named the KIAC women’s tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 14th. Asbury finished the week 2-0 after defeating Berea College 5-4 and Indiana University East 7-2. Waslewski won her #4 singles match against Berea 6-0, 6-1 and her #4 singles match against Indiana University East 6-1, 6-1. She is currently 8-0 in singles play and 7-1 in doubles play on the season. The Eagles are 8-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They will return to action on October 14th when they travel to Brescia University.
Sarah Sterling, Asbury University – Volleyball Player of the Week
Junior – Owensboro, KY
Asbury University junior Sarah Sterling was named the KIAC volleyball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 14th. This is her second player of the week award of the season. Asbury finished the week 4-0 after defeating Martin Methodist (3-0), Midway College (3-0), Berry College (3-1) and Centre College (3-0). Sterling finished the week with a .391 hitting percentage and collected 47 kills in four matches. She reached the 1,000 kill milestone in the Asbury win against Midway. The Asbury outside hitter ranks 2nd in the KIAC with a .319 hitting percentage. Asbury is currently 22-7 overall and 7-1 in conference play. They will return to action on October 15th when they travel to Cincinnati Christian University.
