MIDWAY, Ky. - Asbury dominated Midway College’s court winning 25-13, 25-6, 25-6, as junior Sarah Sterling broke the 1,000 mark in kills, earning 11 tonight and giving her 1,002 career kills.
"Sarah has been probably our most inspirational player this season," coach JP Rader said. "And from the very first match has been our most consistent hitter."
"She combines power with the ability to use off speed effectively in her hitting. I look forward to what the rest of this season and next season has for her."
Senior Mackenzie Burke had a stellar night, with 5 service aces, a game-high 14 digs, and an unsurpassed 23 assists. Seniors Catherine Wolter and Allison Rehner combined for 17 kills, while junior Jessie Bartlow added 11 assists.
The Eagles are now 20-7 and will look for their twenty-first win on Oct. 12 against Berry College.
