Eagles Suffer 3-0 Loss at IU-Southeast
NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Eagles (6-5) traveled to New Albany, Ind., for a matchup with the Grenadiers from IU-Southeast and dropped a 3-0 decision to their hosts. The Eagles held strong and had chances in each of the first two sets to jump out to a 2-0 lead but the Grenadiers prevailed 26-24 and 25-23 through two sets. The third set was more in the Grenadiers' favor, as they won 25-18.
Sarah Sterling led the Eagles with nine kills. Allison Rehner added eight kills and Katherine Wolter collected seven.
The Eagles will look to regroup as Point Park (Pa.), Alice Lloyd, and St. Louis College of Pharmacy all come to the Luce Center for a quad match on Saturday. All three contests will count toward the conference record. Games will be at 12 noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
