Eagles Close Season with Dominating Performance
PIPPA PASSES, Ky. – Asbury volleyball finished off the regular season with a dominating performance over Alice Lloyd, winning 3-0 (25-5, 25-7, 25-5). Asbury will be the third seed in this weekend’s 11-team KIAC Tournament.
Asbury (26-11, 7-3 KIAC) hit a season-high .604 in the match, racking up 35 kills and only three errors on 53 attempts. Sarah Sterling led the team with 12 kills, hitting .705. Kaity Bradley added six kills on six attempts. Catherine Wolter and Alyssa Downs each had five kills.
The Eagles tallied 14 service aces as Jessie Bartlow led the way with four. Brittney Rader and Kelly Cole each had three service aces. Bartlow also added eight assists and three digs on the night. Mackenzie Burke led the team with 22 assists. Cole led the team with 17 digs.
Asbury will enter the KIAC Tournament on Friday as the number three seed. They will play the winner of the #6-#11 match from earlier in the day. Brescia is the six seed and Alice Lloyd is the 11 seed. The Eagles defeated Brescia 3-0 back in September and defeated Alice Lloyd 3-0 in both meetings.
