Eagles Cruise on Senior Day
WILMORE, Ky. – Asbury volleyball made quick work of Alice Lloyd on Friday afternoon, defeating ALC in three sets (25-5, 25-7, 25-6). The Eagles improve to 23-10 on the season while Alice Lloyd falls to 0-10.
On senior day it was the seniors who led the way. Brittney Rader pounded out nine kills on 13 attempts for a .615 attack percentage while Kaity Bradley hit .364 with six kills on 11 attempts. Overall the team hit a season high .500, 36 kills on 60 attempts. Alyssa Downs also added nine kills and hit .600 for the Eagles.
Aces were wild on this day as the Eagles accumulated 16 aces, a season-high, as five players recorded at least one ace and four had three or more. Mackenzie Burke added five aces and Jessie Bartlow added four and now leads the team with 50 on the season. Bartlow also led the way with 16 assists on Friday and Burke added 13. Kelly Cole led the defense with five digs, the team had 25.
Asbury will hit the road tomorrow for a tri-match at Transylvania University, playing Manchester at 1 pm and Transy at 3 pm.
