Volleyball Wins Eighth Straight
WISE, Va. – Asbury volleyball won their eighth straight match on Tuesday, defeating UVA-Wise 3-0. Game scores were 25-11, 25-13, 25-21. The Eagles will go for nine straight when they host Pikeville on Friday.
Asbury (12-7) was led by Sarah Sterling with seven kills. Five different players recorded at least four kills in the match as the team hit .263 for the match. The Eagles registered only 30 kills but UVA-Wise committed 20 attack errors to help the Asbury cause.
Mackenzie Burke added two service aces to go along with 15 assists. Jessie Barlow had 10 assists in the match. Kelly Cole added 13 of the team’s 31 digs.
The Eagles will host Pikeville on Friday at 7 pm.
