Asbury takes care of Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Asbury did not waste any time in disposing of Pikeville College on Thursday night, taking out the Lady Bears in three short sets 25-11, 25-13, 25-11.  Asbury improves to 28-2 and pushes their winning streak to eight.

Brittney Rader led the attack with 12 kills and Lindsay Ibold tallied nine as Asbury hit .330 for the match.  The Eagles racked up 43 kills in the match as nine players recorded at least one kill.  Emily Andrews had 19 assists and Mackenzie Burke added 16.  Kelly Cole had four of the team’s seven service aces in the match.  Hannah Wheeler led the defense with 19 digs, Cole added 11. 

The Eagles will close out the regular season with two home games, one on Wednesday November 3rd against Midway College and the other on Thursday November 4th against Berea.  Both games will start at 7:00 pm with Senior Day scheduled for Wednesday’s game.
